The DITA Grandmaster series was designed to reflect a pivitol time in the designers' lives when rap music, or hip hop as we know it today, first hit the scene.
According to founders John Juniper and Jeff Solorio, "[We were] instantly hit with a sound that was so different and refreshing from the mundane and original tunes that dominated the airwaves... the unexpected style that this genre of music represented made me want to live the lifestyle of a rapper - we were especially captivated by the eyewear these artists wore".
From that, the iconic Grandmaster series was born!
